7" Multi-blade Saw

Tooth Type: Alternating Tooth (ATAF) Application: Suitable for cutting solid wood, MDF, plywood, paint-free boards, and flooring. Features: Increased tooth hardness increases lifespan, improving cutting precision and resulting in smoother cut surfaces. It is primarily used for processing demanding products. The large blade angle design provides smooth chip evacuation, and the sharper teeth make cutting easier.

Product Description

Premium Fine Crosscut TCT Blade - Mirror Finish for Cabinetry & Trim

Surgical Precision for Visible Cuts

Designed for master craftsmen and high-end cabinet shops where every cut is a finished surface. This 80-tooth Hi-ATB (High Alternate Top Bevel) blade produces glass-smooth crosscuts in hardwoods and chip-free edges on brittle melamine and veneer laminates. The steep 30° bevel angle shears wood fibers cleanly rather than tearing, eliminating the need for sanding or edge banding on visible components.

Premium Technical Features

  • Hi-ATB Tooth Geometry: 30° high alternate top bevel creates a scissor-like shearing action that eliminates tear-out on even the most brittle surfaces
  • 80-Tooth Configuration: High tooth count (96T optional for 12" saws) produces 0.8mm scallop depth - virtually invisible to naked eye
  • Low Hook Angle (10°): Reduced aggressiveness prevents grabbing on delicate materials and improves control for precision cuts
  • Anti-Chip Design: Dual-side chip limiters on every tooth prevent oversized chips that cause splintering
  • Superior Plate Steel: 51CrV4 chrome-vanadium alloy (48 HRC) with computer-optimized tensioning for vibration-free operation at high RPM
  • Copper Dampened Core: Laser-cut expansion slots filled with copper/resin composite reduce noise by 6dB and eliminate harmonic vibration
  • Industrial Micro-Grain Carbide: C6 grade (12% cobalt, 0.6μm grain) maintains razor edge 40% longer than standard carbides

Precision Applications

  • Cabinet Face Frames: Crosscutting hardwood (cherry, maple, oak) for perfectly glue-ready joints without sanding
  • Melamine & Laminate: Cutting pre-finished particleboard and MDF with zero chip-out on both faces
  • Hardwood Flooring: End cuts on engineered and solid hardwood planks for invisible seams
  • Picture Frames & Molding: Precise miter cuts on decorative trim where gaps are unacceptable
  • Fine Furniture: Joinery cuts on tabletops and drawer fronts requiring immediate finishing
  • Veneer Work: Cross-cutting plywood with expensive exotic veneers without tear-out
  • Window & Door Trim: Baseboards, crown molding, casing cuts ready for installation

Critical Setup Requirements

This blade requires precision equipment and setup to achieve advertised results:

  1. Zero Clearance Insert (ZCI): Mandatory for melamine and veneer to prevent bottom-face tear-out. ZCI throat opening should be within 1mm of blade kerf.
  2. Blade Alignment: Must be perfectly parallel to miter slot (within 0.05mm). Any misalignment causes burning and uneven wear.
  3. Featherboard/Hold-down: Essential for consistent feed rate. Inconsistent feeding causes witness marks on cut surface.
  4. Chip Evacuation: Dust collection must be excellent. Packed chips re-cut and mar the finish.
  5. Feed Speed: Slow and steady - approximately 1-2 meters per minute for hardwoods. Never force or rush the cut.
  6. Blade Height: For crosscuts, raise blade only 6-8mm above material. Higher exposure increases tear-out risk.

Precision Maintenance Protocol

  • Cleaning Frequency: Clean after every 4 hours of cutting or immediately when resin buildup is visible. Use commercial pitch remover, never steel brushes.
  • Sharpening: Resharpen when burn marks appear or feed resistance increases. Face-sharpen only using 400-grit diamond wheel. Top-sharpening destroys Hi-ATB geometry.
  • Storage: Store vertically in protective sleeve. Stacking causes micro-fractures in carbide edges.
  • Handling: Never touch tooth edges with bare fingers. Skin oils cause micro-corrosion of carbide.

Product Limitations

Not for Ripping: 80T configuration will overheat and burn during long ripping cuts. Use Product 1 (40T) for ripping operations.

Not for Thick Stock: Maximum recommended thickness 75mm (3") hardwood. Deeper cuts cause chip evacuation problems.

Not for Nailed Lumber: Hidden nails will chip carbide teeth immediately. Use sacrificial blade for reclaimed wood.

Power Requirement: Requires minimum 2.2kW (3HP) saw for 300mm diameter. Underpowered saws will stall and burn workpiece.

Value Proposition

While 3x the cost of economy blades, eliminates 100% of sanding labor on visible cuts. On a typical kitchen cabinet project (50 visible cuts), saves 4-6 hours of sanding time and produces superior stain absorption (no sanding swirls). Pays for itself on first high-visibility project.

Application

Solid Wood Ripping & Dimensioning
Primary cutting of hardwood (oak, maple, walnut) and softwood (pine, cedar) lumber for furniture components, utilizing 20-24 tooth ATB blades for fast, efficient longitudinal cuts with minimal tear-out on exit.

Plywood & Laminated Board Processing
Clean cross-cutting of birch, oak, and marine plywood sheets without face veneer chipping, using 60-80 tooth TCG or Hi-ATB configurations to prevent splintering on both top and bottom surfaces.

MDF & Particleboard Fabrication
Precision cutting of medium-density fiberboard and chipboard for cabinet carcasses and shelving, where 40-tooth general purpose blades provide chip-free edges without sealing requirements.

Laminate & Melamine Surfacing
Cutting pre-finished decorative laminates (HPL) and melamine-faced boards for kitchen countertops and furniture, requiring 96-tooth Hi-ATB triple-chip geometry to eliminate chipping on brittle surface layers.

Aluminum Composite Material (ACM) Trimming
Sizing aluminum-plastic composite panels for signage and architectural facades, using negative hook angle (-5°) TCG blades to prevent grabbing while cutting through metal skin and plastic core simultaneously.
