4 Inch Circular Saw Blade for Wood (110mm): 30T vs 40T Guide

The 4 inch circular saw blade for wood (110 mm) is the compact TCT blade for trim saws, mini circular saws and cordless saws. Light and fast, it delivers burr-free cuts in plywood, boards and panels where a full-size saw is too bulky.

Best Uses

  • Cutting plywood and veneered panels to size
  • Trim work, shelving and cabinet carcasses
  • Flooring installation cuts (with fine-tooth blade)
  • DIY furniture and craft projects

Tips

  1. Confirm the 20 mm bore matches your saw (reducer rings exist for some saws).
  2. Cut with the good face down (circular saws) to avoid tear-out on the visible side.
  3. Thin kerf (1.2–1.4 mm) is ideal for cordless saws — less battery drain.

FAQ

Can a 110 mm wood blade cut MDF?

Yes — choose 40T for clean MDF edges. MDF is abrasive, so carbide tips are essential.

Is 4 inch the same as 110 mm?

Close enough for this class: blades are sold as 110 mm (some markets 100/105 mm). Check bore and max RPM compatibility with your saw.

Can I use a wood blade on plastic or aluminum?

Wood ATB blades are not designed for metal. Use a TCG aluminum blade for non-ferrous metals and plastics.
